PARISH MINISTRIES...

Worship Ministries
Our worship defines who we are as Christians.  There are many ways to be involved:  Altar Server, Reader, Usher, Eucharistic Minister, Altar Guild.  All are welcome to share in worship leadership.  Please see Fr. Rob if you are interested in this ministry.

The Ministry of Hospitality
Hospitality is a New Testament virtue and is central to our mission at Ascension.  All parishioners are encouraged to be involved in this ministry.  If you are able to host a coffee hour or would like to donate to one, please sign-up in the back of the church.  You may also wish to be involved with some upcoming fellowship-building events: Ascension Day Dinner, and/or the Mothers' and Fathers' Day Breakfasts.  All are welcome to be involved and/or help however you can.  For more information on this ministry, please see DJ.

Outreach Ministries
Did you know that our Food Pantry which is held on Tuesday mornings has begun serving coffee and food?  If you'd like to volunteer to help or make a donation, please see Diana. Donations of canned goods, as well as items to be served at the breakfast would be greatly appreciated. You don't need to be there to be involved!

Did you also know that we are the only church in Brooklyn to assist Woodhull Hospital in helping AIDS patients?!  Our AIDS Ministry continues to provide TV service to hospice patients.  We also are involved with National Episcopal AIDS Coalition and Episcopal Relief for AIDS in NY both of which seek to call attention to this global pandemic.  For more information see Diana or Fr. Rob.

ABOUT OUR LITURGY: Eastertide -- Closing Thoughts
In Eastertide, the newly baptized, and all the baptized, have revealed to them the fullness of our redemption and the depth of our life in Christ. In the words of St.
Augustine, preached to the newly baptized in his cathedral at Easter, "You are the Body of Christ. In you and through you the work of the Incarnation must go forward. You are to be taken. You are to be blessed and broken and distributed, that you may be the means of grace and the vehicles of the eternal charity."
